Bollywood raises funds for tsunami survivors

Tsunami aid: A dance workshop (right) was one of the highlights at a University of Melbourne Asialink Centre sponsored Bollywood music and dance extravaganza held recently to raise funds for tsunami survivor support.

Proceeds from the event went to Oxfam Community Aid Abroad. The program featured prominent Bollywood-style dancers, singers and musicians. Highlights included a sitar performance by world-renowned Afghani sitar player Khalil Gudaz, accompanied by University of Melbourne postgraduate research student Nadeem Malik, on tabla.
